Meeting Minutes, 4/5/11

Here are last month's meeting notes—hard to believe it's been that long. Kind of makes the last few items on my notes a little less than useful; my apologies.

In attendance: Shannon, Daniel, Thom, John, Rachel, Garrett, Thomas, Jon E.

Standard recipe format?

• Text in post os preferrable to an attachment.
• Don't forget to tag when posting, it's always easier to keep things organized from the start! (Seems like some are already doing this—great!)
• Can we come up with a standard system? Maybe make some sort of sticky post with a sample recipe post?

That's all from my notes of the last meeting. Should I do this again it'll certainly be more punctual—these don't do much good when they go up just hours before the next meeting.

Brewing at Shannon and Rachel's house Sunday from 1 on. Dinner potluck to follow at 6:30. HONEY BLONDE!

Organic Brewing Challenge

Seven Bridges, the local homebrew shop in Santa Cruz, is teaming up with Bison Brewery to host an organic homebrew competition. The deadline is coming up soon, April 16th, but they are seeking more entries!

Here are the details if any of you are interested in entering:

Winning Entry to be Commercially Released by Bison Organic Beers and entered into the GABF

• Entry Deadline April 16, 2011
• 5 Style Categories
• Only All-organic beers accepted
• Winning beer will be packaged in 22 oz. bottles and commercially released
• Winning homebrewer will recieve tickets to the Great American Beer Festival
• Contestants must be AHA Members at the time of entry
• Entry period is April 1, 2011 to April 16, 2011
